empty nest

it's just the two of us (well, with our kitties) now that the family tribe has left the building! that has been the running theme here this whole week! the house is stangely quiet again... it was full of life & activity this past week>>> we had grown accustomed to being jarred awake by a screeching child or two or thunderous footsteps from upstairs... well, it won't be for long... they'll be BAAACKKKK! the 4th of july is just around the corner & my parents will be finally home from the mother country soon... {smile} it's during times like this past week to take comfort in knowing that sometimes family is the best medicine for what ails you>>> each & every loving spoonful. we finally made it home...4 long hours later...in traffic...too funny when we were on the road, each kiddie asked me "are we going back to see Uncle Joe and Auntie Reya and the kitties in the SPECIAL HOUSE???" I smiled and said, "Yup...very soon, very soon..." and with that reassurance, they all fell into a deep slumber as we hummed through the highway. thank you so much for having us and making our mini-vacation so much fun (even on bed-rest duty...)! you're the best Auntie and Uncle ever! take very good of yourselves and we'll hopefully see you on the 4th!!! xoxo looney and the lil' munchkins (ps...are you sure you miss the screams and thundering scampering??? yeah...I would too...life with lil ones brings sunshine on gloomy days...)
